Bibliothèqueness a repository for knowledge and friendship

The lockdown has had a profound impact on our lives. One of those impacts has seen people return to reading books. Yes print books. Not only for reading, but they have also featured heavily as video conferencing backdrops. With the library shut people have taken to putting out read books on the street and swapping them with their neighbours.  Thus the demise of the book is much over rated. Not only does it sweep you away from every day life, it encourages hope and brings neighbourly communication.

With our town of books that has new bookshops and those specializing in second-hand and antiquarian books we are placed to expand this and our libraries. Montmorillon, a town for book enthusiast in France is a place that embodies the literary world.

So with this I look to the future and see the internet dominated by pictures of amazing libraries both new and old. They are architecturally amazing and hold such knowledge. Bath has such opportunity to create a library to sparkle in the darkness.
