Re-inventing Bath

Bath Newseum published a second article about Re-inventing Bath . I really liked the ideas  a few of which are in the article
  • An ice track going down into the Limpley Stoke valley from up on Claverton Down.
  • William Herschel observatory and a planetarium
  • Mozart and Christian Bach played at the assembly rooms
  • Promote Bath as a Mozart city
  • Build an amphitheatre to mirror roman past and the crescents
  • Better promotion and access to Alexandra park very much a hidden gem; many visitors to Bath are elderly how about a funicular
  • Enlarge Museum of Bath at Work should include large exhibitions about Stothert and Pitt and Pitmans, but also William Harbutts Plasticine manufacture in the city.
  • Open up the Ralph Allen mines for visitors and cavers
For a few more ideas to think about

  • As a part of the winter sports village there could be ski style lodges, dry sky slope, ice rink etc.
  • We should have A Bio-dome to Elicit Innovation
  • We could become a book town like the cité de l’ecrit in France to go with our new world class library
  • It is a shame Beckford's Gate in Lansdown can't be viewed as part of a walk.
  • Create more Roman and Georgian attractions. A replicate of the temple precinct and the temple of Sulis Minerva.
